Hi, I’m Brooke.

I’m a lifestyle expert and the blogger behind Blue to Bliss.


The most important thing to know about me is that I’m passionate about living a simple, happy life that’s both fun and fulfilling. I started Blue to Bliss as a way to provide resources to help others live the intentional life they’ve always dreamed of too.

The articles you’ll find here are all about saying yes to personal growth, strong relationships, a welcoming home, financial freedom, and adventure.

And in doing so, you’ll also learn how to say no to obligations, drama, living above your means, and getting stuck in a lifestyle that you don’t even enjoy.

You were not born to work, pay bills, and die. You deserve an extraordinary life that makes you both happy and proud.

Facts About Me:

  • I was abused as a child
  • I was first published in college as a poet
  • I’m a certified secondary teacher in English and History
  • I completed a teacher exchange program in Australia
  • I’ve taught in multiple urban districts and in a foster care facility
  • I also served on the Board of Education for a local school district
  • I was married for 10 years and had two children
  • I had a near-death experience during labor and delivery
  • I was broke and unemployed at the beginning of my divorce, and I had nowhere to live
  • I was a single mom for 5 years
  • I’m a minimalist
  • I was in a bad car accident that injured me and totaled my car
  • I practically bathe in sunscreen, and I still got skin cancer
  • I recently remarried and this time it was with my high school sweetheart whom I’ve known for 20+ years

As you can see, I’ve had some great experiences in life, but I’ve also been through some challenges too.

Sometimes, life is just messy. But that’s okay.

When you decide to choose happiness no matter what life throws at you, you’ve learned a valuable skill that can help you overcome anything.

I have a ton of experience surviving difficult situations and learning to thrive afterward, and I’m happy to share these experiences with you as a learning tool.

It’s as simple as learning to reframe your thoughts so that you can focus on the good aspects of your life and stop obsessing over all of the negatives.
